Twisted Date Pastry Recipe, Delicious & Easy to make

Ingredients:
10.6 oz/300g Sifted Flour
1.1 oz/30g Sugar
0.4 oz/10g Dry Yeast
160 mL Cold Water
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1.8 oz/50g Butter Room Temperature
0.2 oz/7g Salt
12.3 oz/ 350g Date Paste

Method

Notes

Steps:
1-Combine flour, sugar and yeast
2-Stir for 3-4 minutes
3-Gradually add water
4-Add vanilla extract and Butter
5-Mix until all is well combined
6-Add salt
7-Increase to medium low and knead for 4 minutes
8-Cover and place it to rest in room temperature for 30 minutes
9-Meanwhile, roll the date paste to 6 strips and set aside
10-Knock the dough to remove pockets of air
11-Roll the dough and shape it into a rectangular
12-Place the date paste onto the dough and roll it into a cylinder
13-Cut the edge
14-Roll to stretch the dough to make it longer
15-Twist two strips together
16-Cut them into equal rectangular shapes
17-Place them on a tray
18-Cover and place to proof for 30 minutes
19-Dock the dough with a fork
20-Egg wash the dough
21-Sprinkle with sugar
22-Bake at 355°F / 180°C for 20 minutes (Baking temperature may vary depending on the oven)
23- Let it cool down
